Biography

Hugo Fernández was a Chilean basketball player who represented the national team in the 1950s. Fernández was selected to represent his nation at the 1952 Melbourne Olympics where he played in all eight of Chile’s matches, scoring 22 points, with the team finishing fifth. Fernández died in Vitacura, Santiago in March 2024 at the age of 93.
