Biography

Sailor Günther Benecke placed eighth in the Dragon class, together with Hans Ravenborg and Peter Rebien on the yacht Dinah V at the 1960 Roma Olympics. The same year the crew also won the famous Kieler Woche and the Vasco da Gama Cup. Benecke was a member of the Norddeutscher Regatta Verein in Hamburg.
