Biography

Sailor Werner Christoph of Yachtclub Berlin-Grünau participated at the 1968 Acapulco and the 1972 Kiel Olympic sailing events. At Acapulco he finished 12th in the Flying Dutchman class partnering Hans-Jürgen Cochius, while in Kiel Christoph placed 14th in the Soling class. Christoph and Cochius also earned five silver medals (1961, 1966, 1967, 1970, 1971) at the East German nationals and two golds in 1962 and 1969.
