Noël Desaubliaux made his début at the Sailing World Championship in 1956, when he and Georges Pisani finished 13th among 18 teams in the Star class. In 1960 the duo won the gold medal in that division at the European Championships and were selected to represent France at that year’s Olympics. There they placed 11th overall, with a best finish of seventh in the third race. They went on to rank 31st among 73 pairs in the Star class at the 1962 World Championships. Between 1967 and 1985, Desaubliaux served as president of the Club Nautique de Cancale in Ille-et-Vilaine, where he lived much of his life.
