Biography

Sprinter Helmut Lang was Austrian champion in the 4×100 relay (1971 and 1972) and was then selected for the 1972 München Olympics as a member of the sprint relay. The Austrian squad reached the semi-finals but were disqualified in their heat. Later, Lang participated in several master’s championships and won two discus gold medals in the M70 and M75 classes in 2014 and 2016 respectively.

Personal Best: 100 – 10.6 (1970).
