Biography

Holger Baden was a Danish distance runner who represented the Ben Hur athletics club in København and was good at all distances between 800 and 10,000 metres. Baden was the Danish champion in the 10,000 metres in 1911 and was the runner-up in the 5,000 metres a year earlier. At the 1912 Stockholm Olympics he competed in the cross-country event where the Danish team finished in fifth place. Baden was also scheduled to run in the 10,000 metres in Stockholm but he did not start the race. Baden belonged to the Danish elite until 1916 and was selected for the Baltic Games in 1914 and the Swedish Games in 1916.
