Danish race walker Arne Højme was a five-time national champion and set eight Danish records. Højme was the Danish champion in the 50 kilometres walk in 1904 and 1906, the one-mile walk in 1905 and 1906, and in the 20 kilometres walk in 1906. He competed in the 3,500 metres and 10 miles race walks at the 1908 London Olympics where he finished in seventh place in his heat in the former and did not finish in the 10km race.
