Biography

Marcel Gerdil was known mostly for his work in relays with the Paris Union Club, with whom he set a French 4x100 record in 1950, with Gerdil running lead-off while winning the French title. He also ran on three 4x200 French record teams, one in 1950 and two in 1952. The final 4x200 mark of 1:26.0 was also a European record. He retired to Sant Just Desvern where he lived out his life.

Personal Best: 200 – 21.9 (1952).
