Biography

Gaston Ragueneau won six French championships in cross country from 1901 to 1906 and placed fifth in 1900, second in 1907, and third in 1908. He also finished second in 800 m (1900) and 400 m hurdles (1907) and third in 800 m (1902) and 1500 m (1904). Ragueneau set French records in 10000 m (1899 with 34:25.0 and 1905 with 32:36.0) and in the one hour race (1899 with 17.190 km, 1903 with 17.315 km, 1904 with 17.800 km, and 1905 with 18.067 km).
