Biography

Geoffrey Burton was an athlete of little note, unlike his more successful older brother Leslie. However, both were selected for the 400 meters hurdles in 1908 with Leslie making the final. Geoffrey was a self-employed commission agent, and served with the Mechanical Transport Division of the Army Service Corps during World War I but was discharged in July 1919 as being no longer fit for service.
