Biography

After placing fourth in the 7 miles walk at the 1924 AAA Championships, Ernie Clark later finished sixth in the final of the 10K walk at the Olympic games. In 1925 he finished third in the 7 miles walk and fourth in the 2 miles walk at the AAA Championships. In August 1928 he defeated an international field to win the 10K walk at the inaugural Spartakiad in Moskva. He was employed in the tobacco industry throughout his working life.
