Biography

Between 1925-35, Billy Green won a record 24 Midland titles: he won the 100y for 11 successive years (1925-35), and 220y 10 times (1925-31, 1933-35), and the 440y three times (1928, 1930-31). Billy Green suffered badly from nerves at the big meetings and only reached the final at the AAA Championship three times. He was a finalist in the 100y in 1929 and 1932, and was runner-up in the 220y in 1929.

Personal Bests: 100y – 10.0 (1927/29); 220y – 21.8 (1932); 400 – 50.0e (1928).
