Biography

Gordon Watts was the winner of the AAA 2 mile walk in 1923, and 7 mile walk in 1922-23, 1925. He also enjoyed two other podium finishes, both in 1924, when he was third in the 2 miles and second in the 7 miles. An aircraft fitter by trade, Watts won the Southern Counties AAA 2 mile title in 1923, and was third the following year, only to be subsequently disqualified.

Personal Bests: 2 mile Walk – 14:24.0 (1923); 7 mile Walk – 52:13.2 (1924).
