Masahiro Yamasaki was a back-up goalkeeper for the Japanese team at the 1968 Olympics. Yamasaki played in goal at Katsuyama High School and then Meiji University. He played for Yawata Steel and Nippon Steel as a club team, and was on the Japanese national team from 1966-68, with two caps.
