Biography

Lamberto Petri was a defender who never played for the Italian National team but was a non-playing substitute at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. He played for US Lucchese in the Second and Third Division from 1929-35, scoring nine goals in 171 matches, and then won an Italian title with AC Bologna. He never earned an international cap because of fierce competition for defense positions from Dino Fiorini and Felice Gasperi. At the end of the 1935/36 season he played for three years with Unione Sportiva Libertas Lucchese in the Italian First League.
