Discovered by Johann Studnicka in a high school team, Felix Tekusch played as a left defender for the Wiener AC from 1910. One year later, he joined the newly founded club Wiener AF (WAF) and immediately placed third in the 1912 Austrian championship. Disputes with the Austrian Football Federation (ÖFV) ultimately prevented all WAF players from travelling to the Olympic Games in Stockholm. In addition to matches with the Wien (Vienna) city team he represented Austria in nine international games, mostly together with his brother Karl.
Tekusch’s début for Austria came in 1910 with a 2-1 win over Hungary. In his second game, he was already named captain as a 21-year-old. He won his last cap in 1914, again against Hungary. He died as a lieutenant in World War I during an offensive on the Italian front.
