Biography

Peter Braun was an 800 metre runner who won German indoor titles in 1986-88 and outdoor titles in 1987 and 1989, placing second in 1986, 1988 and 1992. He also was 1986 European Indoor Champion and placed sixth that year at the European Championships in Stuttgart. In 1987 he was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the World Championships in Rome. At the 1988 Olympics he was eliminated in the semifinals. Professionally he was an educated toolmaker.

Personal Best: 800 – 1:44.03 (1986).
