Biography

German long jumper Willi Meier finished fourth at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics only one centimeter behind bronze medal winner Al Bates. At the World University Games he won gold in 1928 and a bronze in 1930. At the German nationals Meier was runner-up in 1928 and third in 1927 in the long jump. By profession he was a medical doctor and editor of the magazine Alcina Sport Dienst.
