Biography

German sprinter Karl Neckermann was eliminated in the 200 metres at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. His greatest moment came at the 1938 European Championships, winning the title with the 4x100 relay together with Manfred Kersch, Gerd Hornberger, and non-Olympian Jakob Scheuring. In 1935 he earned his only German title in the 200. He set one European record in the 100 (1939) and two with the sprint relay (1938/9). After his active career Neckermann became a starter and international judge.

Personal Best: 200 – 21.2 (1939).
