Biography

Harry Voigt, a 400 metre runner, was the brother-in-law of Erwin Blask, who married his sister Dora. She was German Champion in the 200 in 1942. Harry Voigt took a bronze medal with the 4x400 relay at the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games and won the 1934 European Championships with the relay. In 1933, he was German Champion in the open 400, and second in 1936. In 1932, he set two European records with 48.6 and 48.2. By profession Voigt was a medical counselor.
