Biography

Greek track and field athlete Georgios Birmpilis represented Panellinios GS in Athina where he specialised in the hurdles. Birmpilis ran in the 400 metres hurdles at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics but finished in last place in his heat. He had a better performance at the 1971 Mediterranean Games in Turkey, finishing sixth in the final.

Personal Best: 400H – 51.1 (1971).
