Biography

During the 1930s Filipino track and field athlete Niño Ramírez specialised in the long jump. Ramírez won bronze in the event at the 1934 Far Eastern Championship Games in Manila when he jumped 6.96 metres. Two years later he represented the Philippines at the 1936 Berlin Olympics but did not advance from the qualifying round. Ramírez was also named as part of the basketball team for the Berlin Games but did not play in any matches.
