Biography

Ursel Finger started in 1952 for the Saar at the Helsinki Games and was eliminated in the qualification rounds of the long jump, missing by only 3 centimeters. She also missed the final of the 4×100 relay, with Inge Glashörster, Hilde Antes and Inge Eckel, setting a Saarland national record in the heats. Two years later she started at the European Championships, again for Saar, and was also eliminated in the qualifiying of the long jump and in the 4×100 relay. She then immigrated to the United States.

Personal Bests: 100 – 12.4 (1956); LJ – 5.66 (1954).
