Biography
Mamadou Sarr was one of 12 Senegalese athletes that competed at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, the first time that Senegal took part at the Olympics. Sarr took part in the 400 metres hurdles, and four years later at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics competed in the same event and the 4 × 400 metres relay. As a relay competitor, Sarr also won gold at the 1965 All-Africa Games in Brazzaville.
