Biography

After leaving high school Willi Moser went to work in his father’s business in Switzerland where he became a skilled specialist in industrial stone manufacturing. In addition to his manufacturing knowledge Moser was also a talented athlete who won various titles in events at the Swiss Championships in the early 1920s. He ran in the 110 metres hurdles at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics but did not advance from the heats. Four years later at the 1924 Paris Olympics he improved on his previous effort in the hurdles when he reached the semi-finals. He also competed in the javelin at the Paris Games where he finished in 25th place with a throw of 46.80 metres. In addition to athletics Moser also played football for FC Biel and later became an honorary member of the club.

Personal Bests: 110H – 16.1 (1924); JT – 49.57 (1925).
