Biography

Sten Hagander was a successful all-round athlete who won the Swedish Championship in the high jump, triple jump, and the javelin throw. In 1910 Hagander was the national champion in all three disciplines with him retaining his triple jump title in 1911. At the 1911 championships he also won bronze in the high jump and javelin. Hagander competed in the javelin throw with both hands at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics where he finished in 11th place. He was also scheduled to take part in the triple jump but did not start the event.
