Biography

Swedish track and field athlete Rudolf Johansson represented IFK Skövde where he competed as a middle-distance runner. Johansson won silver at the Swedish athletics championships in the 800 metres in 1923 and 1925 before winning gold in 1926. He ran in the 800 metres at the 1924 Paris Olympics where he won his heat but was eliminated in the semi-finals. Johansson died in Solna, Stockholm in November 1994 at the age of 95.
