Swedish track and field athlete Knut Russell represented UoIF Matteus-Pojkarna in Stockholm where he competed as a sprinter. Russell ran in the 100 metres at the 1924 Paris Olympics where he finished fourth in his heat and was eliminated. He was also listed as an alternate for the 4 × 100 metres relay in Paris but ultimately did not run in the race.
