Biography

František Šretr was a Czechoslovak track and field athlete who represented SK Pardubice. Šretr finished 26th in the long jump at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics with a best effort of 5.550 metres. He also competed in the triple jump in Antwerpen but failed to register a valid jump. Šretr moved to the United States in 1927, living in Chicago where he was known as Frank Shreter. He married his wife Anna the following year and worked as a laboratory technician. Šretr died in La Grange, Illinois in July 1959.
