Biography

Sumet Promna was a leading Thai sprinter in the 1980-ies.In his first Asian Championships in 1981 he won a sliver medal in 200 m and a bronze in 100 m, besides being a member of the silver winning 4×100 m team. He added another 4×100 m silver medal to his collection at the Asian Games 1982. He was very successful at the Asian Championship 1983, winning gold at 200 m and silver at 100 m and 4×100 m. After the 1984 Olympics he competed in the Asian Championship 1985 and 1987, withour being able to earn more medals.

Personal Bests: 100 – 10.36 (198); 200 – 20.99 (1987).
