Józef Grzesiak won an Olympic bronze medal as a light-middleweight boxer at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. He was a three-time Polish Champion and represented Poland three times in interstate matches in 1965-66. Grzesiak competed at the 1965 European Championships, losing in the quarter-finals.
