Biography

Frances Kaszubski was a weight thrower for the Westlake Athletic Club and attended school at Case Western Reserve. Kaszubski won six AAU titles with the discus, in 1943, 1945, and 1947-51, and four AAU shot put titles, in 1943, 1945, 1948, and 1950. She was also AAU Indoor Champion in 1948 and 1951 with the shot. She competed at the 1951 Pan-American Games in both the shot and discus, winning a bronze medal with the disc and finished fourth in the shot. Kaszubski actually considered basketball as her best sport. She played for AAU teams and was named an AAU All-American at center. Kaszubski later worked as an executive secretary and was active in national and international track & field administration.
