Edgar Kiralfy was the son of a US diplomat stationed in England in 1908. His father, Imre Kiralfy, was the director of the 1908 Franco-British Exhibition and was responsible for the building of the Earl’s Court Exhibition Centre and the White City in London. Edgar competed for Oxford University and his entire athletic career occurred in England.
