Marvin Rick won the 1924 AAU steeplechase title. Rick was also second in the AAU steeple in 1922-23. He competed for Princeton, MIT, and the New York AC. Rick second at the 1924 US Olympic Trials, and then just missed a medal at the Paris Olympics, finishing fourth. Rick later worked as a civil engineer.
