Biography

Augie Wolf was a shot putter who competed at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. Wolf was a Princeton graduate, who placed sixth at the 1983 NCAA Meet. He was 1984 US Champion in the shot, and also competed at the 1989 World Indoor Championships, where he finished fourth, and at the 1983 Universiade, where he was fifth.

Wolf went into business with Lebenthal Wealth Advisors and became quite successful. He also entered politics and in 2016 ran for the US Senate as a republican in Connecticut, but failed to win the republican primary. He founded and led US Athletic Trust, an NGO supporting advocacy for American Olympic athletes. In 2014 he was named a trustee of the US Olympic and Paralympic Foundation.
