Biography

Mirko Vujačić and his brother Dušan Vujačić were the first Montenegrins to compete at the Olympic Games in athletics, with Mirko placing seventh in the javelin throw at the 1948 Olympics. Mirko Vujačić competed for Partizan after World War II and won his first Yugoslav title in 1945 in grenade throwing. In 1946 he was Balkan Champion in discus and javelin. He competed at the 1950 European Championships, placing fourth in javelin, and the 1954 Europeans, where he was 11th.
