Biography

At the 1952 Helsinki Olympic Games Kurt Schirra was the only Saar boxer to win a first round bout. He managed to beat Luis Aranguren of Venezuela by a 2-1 decision in the featherweight division. Schirra then lost his second round bout to Hungarian János Erdei by a 3-0 points decision.
