Biography

Nicole Humbert was a German pole vaulter who finished fifth at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. She also finished fifth at the 1999 World Championships and the 1998 Indoor Europeans. Humbert won the silver medal at the 1998 European Championships and the bronze medal at the 1999 Indoor Worlds.

Nationally, Humbert won the indoor title in 1994 and 1998. She trained as a bank clerk, but later studied sports and biology to become a schoolteacher. She raised three children.
