Biography

One of the first successful Czechoslovakian boxers, František Nekolný won 56 of his 57 amateur bouts, his one (known) loss coming in the second round of the Olympics. Having joined the pros in 1930, he became European welterweight champion in 1931. As such, he toured the US later that year. Nekolný continued fighting until 1935, finishing his career with 37 wins out of 55 fights.
