Vivi-Anne Wassdahl was a cross-country skier in her youth, but took up alpine skiing as a teenager. She joined the national team in 1952, but broken legs in 1953 and 1954 prevented her from attending the World Championships. She did, however, take part in the 1956 Cortina d’Ampezzo Olympics, where she was 28th, 31st, and 42nd in the slalom, giant slalom, and downhill respectively. She also took part in the 1962 World Championships and, domestically, captured 14 titles in the slalom and giant slalom beginning in 1955. Following her retirement from active competition, she worked as a coach and ski instructor.
