Biography

Betsy Youngman grew up in Cleveland and attended Bowdoin College in Maine. After her marriage, she and her husband settled in Sun Valley, Idaho. Youngman worked as a teacher and freelance writer, and also leads tours to Greenland and Antartica, where she does work studying climate change and ozone depletion. Youngman is an active outdoorswoman, participating in cycling, hiking, skiing, and canoeing as a class 4-5 kayaker.
