Biography

Amedeo Angeli was an accomplished bobsledder who won multiple medals at the Italian championships before and after World War II. Angeli won three golds in the two-man bobsleigh (1933, 1938–39) and four golds in the four-man event (1933–34, 1938–39). His final medal at the national championships came in 1950 with bronze in the two-man event, a year after winning silver in the four-man event. Angeli was part of the second Italian team that competed in the four-man bobsleigh at the 1936 Garmisch-Partenkirchen Olympics, but failed to finish in the second of four runs.
