Biography

East German figure skater Hans-Georg Dallmer partnered with Irene Müller in the pairs event at the 1968 Grenoble Winter Olympics and finished ninth. They had similar results at the World Championships (ninth in 1962, eighth in 1965 and 1968, and seventh in 1966). They also participated in seven Europeans between 1961-68. After five second place finishes at the East German Championships, they won the national title in 1965 and again in 1968, after which they retired. Dallmer later became a well-known director for worldwide TV sport events.
