Biography
East German ski jumper Bernd Eckstein finished third in the 1973/74 Four Hills Tournament. He was then selected for the 1976 Winter Games at Innsbruck, where he finished 32nd on the normal hill, and seventh on the large hill. Domestically, he won two silver and two bronze medals at the East German national championships.
