Biography

Georg Heibl was a West German bobsled driver who was mostly partnered with Fritz Ohlwärter in the two-man discipline. In 1976, he finished fifth in both the two- and four-man at the Innsbruck Winter Games. He won a silver medal in the two-man at both the 1974 and 1975 World Championships, again with Ohlwärter. In 1973 and 1975, Heibl won the West German two-man national title with Ohlwärter, and in 1974 won the four-man title. By profession, Heibl owned a small gardening company.
