Biography

Suzanne Girod was a French tennis player who was active in the late 1890s and early 1900s. Girod competed at the French Open in the amateur era of the tournament, winning the singles title in 1901. She had previously been a runner-up in 1897, before finishing second once again in 1902. At the 1900 Paris Olympics she partnered Charles Sands in the mixed doubles, which was a handicap non-medal event. The pair reached the semi-finals where they lost to the Prévost siblings, André and Yvonne.
