Biography

Tommy Limby was a long distance specialist, coming second in the famous Vasaloppet in 1973, and placing third in 1976 and 1977. His best Olympic result also came in the longest race, finishing 8th in the 50 km. His only major title came in 1978, when he was the third skier of the Swedish team that won the 4 x 10 km relay at the World Championship in Lahti. Limby never won a Swedish title either, although he mounted the podium four times.
