Biography

Horacio Bustos was primarily known in sports for his involvement in lawn tennis, serving as President and then Honorary President of the Argentine Lawn Tennis Association. An industrialist who was a director of several financial corporations, Bustos also served as President of the Argentine Olympic Committee from 1929-32 and led the Argentine Olympic team at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Co-opted onto the IOC in July 1932, he served as a member until his death on his farm in March 1952.
