Princess Infant Doña Pilar de Borbon is a member of the Royal Family of Spain, although she married a commoner in 1967 and relinguished her rights to succession to the Spanish throne. In sports administration she served as President of the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) from 1994-2005. She also served as a member of the Executive Board of the Spanish Olympic Committee. Princess Pilar de Borbon became an IOC Member in 1996, based on her Presidency of the FEI, and served until the end of her FEI Presidency, after which she was made an Honorary Member. She was a member of the Sport and Environment Commission from 1999-2006. Her full name and title is Her Royal Highness Doña María del Pilar Alfonsa Juana Victoria Luisa Ignacia de Todos los Santos de Borbón y Borbón-Dos Sicilias de Gómez-Acebo, Infanta of Spain, Duchess of Badajoz, Viscountess Dowager of la Torre.
