Biography

Robert Möhwald came from the village Herlíkovice (in German: Hackelsdorf) in the Bohemian Krkonoše mountains (in German: Riesengebirge) and was a victim of the forced migration after World War II. He later lived in Waldsassen, Bavaria, close to the Czechoslovakian border. He continued to compete in skiing events into his 60ies. He was only distantly related to Horst Möhwald, a German 1964 Olympian.
